Terms of Service
Effective October 17, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Soldometer, a browser extension and website that estimate sales activity on Amazon product listings (the "Service"), operated by Soldometer ("we", "us"). By installing the extension, claiming an account, or using the website, you agree to these Terms.
1. What Soldometer is
Soldometer reads information that Amazon displays publicly on its product pages — such as the "bought in past month" badge and Best Sellers Rank — and turns it into estimated monthly unit sales, revenue, and profitability figures.
All figures are estimates. Amazon does not publish exact sales data for listings, and no tool can provide it. Our estimates are produced by the documented method described on our website and are provided for general information only. They are not guarantees of any product's actual sales, revenue, or profitability, and they are not business, investment, or financial advice. Decisions you make based on the estimates are yours alone.
2. Independence from Amazon
Soldometer is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. "Amazon" is a trademark of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates, and is used here only to describe the marketplace the Service works with.
3. Accounts and claims
Using the extension's paid features requires claiming an account with an email address through the claim process in the extension.
- One claim per person. Claims are tied to the email address used. Founding status and subscriptions are personal and may not be sold, transferred, or shared.
- Claims obtained through fraud, automation, bulk or disposable addresses, or other abuse of the claim process may be revoked.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the email address you claim with and for activity under your claim.
4. Founding Members
The first 1,000 valid claims are Founding Members. Founding Members may use the Service's paid features free of charge for as long as the Service operates, and will never be charged for them. Founding status applies to the claim email only and ends if the claim is deleted or revoked for abuse.
5. Trials and subscriptions
Claims after the first 1,000 begin with a 30-day free trial:
- No payment card is required to start the trial, and nothing is charged during the trial.
- When the trial ends, access to paid features pauses. To continue, subscribe at US$5 per month: you enter your payment details at that point, the first charge is made when you subscribe, and the subscription renews monthly until cancelled.
- If you never subscribe, the trial simply ends and you are charged nothing.
- You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
- Payments are processed by Stripe through ExtensionPay. We never receive or store your card details.
- Subscription prices may change for future billing periods. We will give at least 30 days' notice of a price change by email or in the extension, and a change never affects Founding Members' free access.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publicly repost the extension or access to it;
- create multiple claims to obtain additional Founding spots or trials;
- probe, overload, or attempt to disrupt the claim service or other infrastructure;
- use the Service in a way that violates the terms of any marketplace you use it on;
- reverse engineer the Service except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
7. Availability and changes
The Service depends on information Amazon chooses to display, which can change at any time without notice. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may update the estimation method; past estimates are not restated. We aim for accuracy and transparency about method, but we do not promise the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
8. Warranty disclaimer and liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or business decisions made in reliance on estimates. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer.
9. Ending your use
You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your claim (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end access for breach of these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the website or in the extension at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
